"This is an well deserved recognition for UMEC, which has proven time and again to be innovative and meticulous in its approach to safety to the benefit of its employees and clients," stated David Copley, Vice President of Safety & Quality Management for EMCOR.

"The EMCOR SPP program starts by mirroring the requirements of OSHA Voluntary Protection Programs, such as the need to have a comprehensive Safety and Heath Management System assessment measured against performance based criteria, subject to external verification, and subject to a formal signed agreement between EMCOR Safety and Quality Management and the EMCOR subsidiary," Steve Shirley, President and CEO of UMEC California stated. "The EMCOR SPP program expands beyond safety and health compliance to other important aspects of business operation. In EMCOR's SPP program, clients can also benefit by our understanding the need to eliminate waste, and the importance of being prepared for natural or man made events that may disrupt business operations."
