Edgemoor Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility

To provide a new skilled nursing facility for "at risk" patients in the care of San Diego County.

SCOPE OF SERVICES
Led the BIM coordination for the 2-story, multiple-wing project which included 192 patient beds, complete nursing care facilities, offices, kitchen and central plant.
SOLUTIONS
Plumbing systems included: compressed air, vacuum, natural gas, domestic hot and cold water and oxygen. Plumbing equipment included: air compressors, vacuum pumps, water heaters and storage tanks. HVAC systems included CHW, HHW, supply and exhaust air. Central Plant includes: two 400-ton chillers, two 500-ton cooling towers, two 6,124MBH boilers, twelve pumps, twenty-four air handlers supplying a total of 210,070cfm to three hundred and nine CAV boxes, and thirty-three exhaust fans sized at over 60,000cfm.

Run by the County of San Diego, Edgemoor is a 24-hour skilled nursing care facility that provides physical rehabilitation, recreational, occupational, physical, speech, and respiratory therapies, for patients in the County's care.
