MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS
Thanks to its extensive mechanical and industrial piping systems expertise, University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors (UMEC) was able to provide complete mechanical construction services, ranging from initial excavation to final connection and startup, for this critical project. By project’s end, UMEC had installed three 75-horsepower vertical pump turbines, as well as a biocube odor control system, a surge tank, chemical feed systems, a wet well and an overflow storage facility.
WASTEWATER FACILITY BACKGROUND
Rancho Cielo is a master-planned community of 400 homes in the hills of northern San Diego. Representing a new pattern of land use for the area, Rancho Cielo preserved more than 880 acres of its natural resources as permanent open space.
